Full Face Motorcycle Helmets — Maximum Protection, Every Ride

For UK riders who won't compromise on safety. Full face helmets cover your head, chin, and jaw — the zones most at risk in a real-world crash. Whether you're filtering through Manchester traffic or blitzing the A9, this is the lid that keeps you covered.

At Maximo Moto, every helmet in this collection meets ECE 22.06 — the current UK legal standard and the most rigorous certification test yet.

What makes a full face helmet the right choice?

It's the only helmet type that protects your chin bar. Studies show the chin and jaw are impact zones in a significant number of crashes. An open face or jet helmet simply can't match that coverage.

Full face lids also cut wind noise, reduce buffeting at speed, and keep the rain off your visor. That matters a lot on British roads

What type of riding is this collection best suited for?

For daily commuters: breathable liners, anti-fog Pinlock-ready visors, and compact fits that work well in urban stop-start traffic.

For touring riders: aerodynamic shells, built-in sun visors, and Bluetooth intercom pockets for long-haul comfort on the motorway.

For track day enthusiasts: lightweight composite shells, race-spec ventilation, and multi-impact EPS liners that meet the demands of circuit riding.

What makes Maximo Moto's full face helmet collection stand out?

We stock both modern streamlined designs and classic vintage-inspired styles — so you're not forced into a look that doesn't suit your ride. Every lid is ECE 22.06 certified, meaning it's road-legal in the UK and built to a higher standard than older stock.

FAQS

Yes. All helmets sold in the UK must carry ECE 22.05 or ECE 22.06 certification — or meet BS 6658:1985. Every lid in Maximo Moto's full face collection is ECE 22.06 compliant, the current legal standard since January 2024.

ECE 22.06 is the newer and stricter standard. It tests helmets at higher impact velocities and across multiple shell sizes. If you're buying new, always go for ECE 22.06 — it offers better real-world protection.

SHARP (Safety Helmet Assessment and Rating Programme) is a UK government-funded scheme that independently tests helmets beyond the ECE pass/fail threshold. It gives a 1–5 star rating. A 5-star SHARP helmet isn't just legal — it's proven to perform better in real crashes.

The industry consensus is every 5 years from purchase, or 7 years from the manufacture date — whichever comes first. The outer shell may look fine, but the EPS foam inside degrades over time, reducing its ability to absorb impact energy.

Absolutely. Full face lids are ideal for UK commuting. They protect against wind, rain, and road noise — common issues in British conditions. Models with anti-fog Pinlock visors and removable, washable liners are especially well-suited to daily use.
