BELA Onsaker Motorcycle Textile Jacket - White Black Red

The Onsaker is built for riders who want one jacket that handles touring, adventure, and mixed-weather riding without compromise. It's a CE-certified Class AA textile jacket that layers up for cold mornings and breathes properly when the temperature climbs. If you're covering long distances and need a jacket that adapts, this one's for you.

What Makes the Onsaker Different?

Most textile jackets make you choose between warmth and ventilation. The Onsaker doesn't ask you to compromise. You get eight large mesh panels and a removable thermal layer in the same jacket.

The BELA Onsaker is a 3-layer all-weather touring jacket. It combines 600D Cordura with top-grain leather panels and a removable quilted thermal liner. BELA's been making rider-focused gear for years, and the Onsaker reflects that experience clearly in every layer.

  • For touring riders: visible from all angles, warm when it's cold, breathable when it's not.

  • For adventure riders: real protection, genuine airflow, practical storage.

TL;DR: A CE AA-certified, 3-layer textile touring jacket with 8 mesh panels, waterproof pockets, removable thermal liner, and EN 1621-1:2012 approved armour. It's made for riders who ride all year, not just fair weather.

Key Features

CE Class AA Protection (EN 17092-3:2020): The Onsaker carries official EU Type Examination certification, valid through 2029. It's not just a label; it's tested, documented, and backed by a notified body.

8 Large Mesh Panels: Four on the front, two on the arms, two on the back. Air flows through freely when it needs to, and you can layer up when it doesn't.

Silver Reflective Panels: Placed on the front, arms, and back, these panels work in low light and overcast conditions, not just at night.

Materials

600D Cordura Polyester (WR 2PU): A double-polyurethane coated, water-resistant Cordura fabric forms the main shell. It handles abrasion well and sheds light rain without soaking through.

Top-Grain Leather (Buffalo, 0.8-0.9mm): Leather reinforcements on the shoulders and arms add abrasion resistance where you need it most. It'll also develop a natural patina over time, which looks better the more miles you put in.

Reissa Waterproof Membrane: The removable waterproof liner uses a 10,000mm waterproof, 10,000g breathability-rated membrane. It keeps water out without trapping heat completely.

Outer Mesh Shell: A heavy-duty mesh layer sits between the outer shell and the thermal liner, supporting airflow even with the thermal layer in.

Neoprene Collar: The soft collar uses neoprene for a comfortable, wind-resistant seal around the neck.

Pockets and Storage

What does the Onsaker carry? Quite a lot, actually.

  • Left arm: Waterproof pocket for documents or a licence

  • Two waist pockets: Waterproof, great for gloves or anything you need quickly

  • Rear pocket: Waterproof, sized for a rain jacket or extra layer

  • Base layer and thermal layer: Both include phone and cargo pockets

Lining

The Onsaker runs three layers. The base is Cordura with a mesh inner lining. The middle layer is the structural mesh. The innermost layer is a removable quilted thermal in Taslan polyester with ROI laser-dotted fill. You remove it in summer, put it back in autumn.

Ergonomics and Adjustability

The jacket closes with a YKK Vislon main zip and a hook-and-loop flap over it. Cuffs use hook-and-loop closures for a snug seal over gloves. The collar closes with velcro. Adjusters on the waist let you dial in fit whether you're layered up or riding light.

FAQs

Is the BELA Onsaker good for year-round riding?

Yes. The removable thermal liner handles cold weather and the 8-panel mesh system keeps air moving in summer. It's genuinely designed for all-season use.

What CE protection class is the Onsaker?

It's certified Class AA under EN 17092-3:2020, the middle tier of motorcycle garment protection. The armours at the elbows, shoulders, and back are EN 1621-1:2012 approved and removable.

Can the Onsaker handle rain?

The 600D Cordura shell is water-resistant and handles light to moderate rain. For heavy rain, the removable Reissa waterproof membrane liner provides a full waterproof barrier.

Is this jacket suitable for adventure touring?

The Onsaker fits adventure riding well. The combination of leather panels, Cordura shell, ventilation, and storage makes it practical for long days across varied terrain and conditions.

How does storage work on the Onsaker?

It has waterproof pockets on the left arm, both waists, and the rear. The base and thermal layers also carry phone and cargo pockets, so you're not relying on a tank bag for the basics.
